I’m currently using CoffeeWorks<\/a> “Blue Mountain” blend beans paired with the Alternative Dairy Co’s oat milk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to a holiday in Far North Queensland, I headed home with four 250g bags of coffee beans from the friendly CoffeeWorks shop in Port Douglas. I had never tried Australian-grown coffee beans before so really didn’t know what to expect from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I first tried the “Queensland Blue” blend and this was described as “rich, rounded, crowd-pleaser, sweet, deep, balanced”. It turns out that’s a pretty accurate description of this sweet everyday brew. I enjoyed this coffee although it wasn’t exceptional in any way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next up was their “Dark Organic”, which promised “intense, bold, deep flavour” – and it certainly delivered on its promise! This is a big brute of a bean, very dark and that deep flavour wasn’t overpowered by my oat milk. I love finding good organic coffee beans (and wish they were far more common as I eat mainly organic food) and enjoyed the coffees from these beans. It’s possibly a little too dark for my everyday brews but definitely one worth trying again occasionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m currently using their “Blue Mountain” blend, described as “rich, creamy, rounded, big without bite” – again an accurate description of this lovely blend. This is by far my favourite of the CoffeeWorks beans I’ve tried so far. It’s a perfect everyday drink but with plenty of interest and not a hint of bitterness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quality of the CoffeeWorks beans seems really good and I’m glad I gave Aussie-grown beans a try. “Blue Mountain” is definitely a blend I could see myself buying again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I still have one more CoffeeWorks blend left to try, so watch this space for a final verdict!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of oat milk, my default remains the Alternative Dairy Co’s oat milk and it has partnered well with all of the CoffeeWorks beans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
