Tathra is one of the beautiful towns on the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales. It’s home to a café serving Allpress coffee – always a reliable choice.
I headed to Salt Café Surf on arriving into the town to grab a takeaway oat latte. Service was friendly and quick, with a delightful coffee soon being delivered from their La Marzocco machine.
Allpress beans paired with The Alternative Dairy Co’s oat milk are typically a good combination – and Salt provided no exception. My oat latte was chocolately, caramelly, smooth and balanced with a mellow finish.
I returned to enjoy a coffee on the premises and it was again excellent. My oat latte was served in a lovely large cup and I enjoyed it in their stylish outdoor area. Both the interior and exterior are very nicely done – Palm Springs in style and with a distinctly relaxed, beachy feel. The service was really friendly and they had excellent vegan knowledge too (even offering a couple of their own vegan cakes, which were yummy).
Salt is a lovely place to be, serving consistently good coffee in a great location just across from the stunning main beach in Tathra.
