View from The Dock Espresso Bar over the Port of Sale

The Dock Espresso Bar – great coffee, peaceful vibes and friendly service in Sale

While staying in the city of Sale in Victoria for a couple of days, a visit to the impressive Port of Sale led to a great coffee experience at The Dock Espresso Bar.

This modern complex houses the Gippsland Art Gallery and Sale Library. The Dock sits in a prime position to take in views across the waters of the port itself thanks to a massive picture window.

The café was busy each time I visited in search of my takeaway oat latte. The vibe, however, was the opposite of frantic. Maybe it’s the gallery and library influences, but the place had a very relaxing feel to it.

The service was super friendly from the young crew capably handling the load. My oat lattes were always delivered with a big smile. I was also smiling, thanks to their superb brews. The combination of 7 Seeds beans with the Alternative Dairy Co’s oat milk worked beautifully every time – nice and smooth, chocolately with a lingering aftertaste.

The stunning picture window frames views of the boats and water in the Port. It’s obvious that this café is a destination in itself for locals and visitors alike – and deservedly so.

The Dock is well worth a stop while you’re in the beautifully-presented small city of Sale.
